Below is a summary of our past successes with Open Streets in Knoxville. You can click on each map to see where around Knoxville Open Streets has been hosted.

North Knoxville – Broadway Ave. (September 30th, 2018)

The Spring of 2016 was the last time we visited North Knoxville, and boy was it great to be back!  Thousands of people enjoyed a hot fall day, as Broadway Ave. was closed from Glenwood Ave. to Emory Place.  North Knoxville brought the fun and definitely did not disappoint!

South Knoxville  – Sevier Ave. (May 20th, 2018)

We returned to South Knoxville for a “re-do” due to the fall 2017 event landing on the coldest day of the year.  We had a fabulous, HOT day with thousands of people enjoying the streets of South Knoxville from Sevier Ave. to Suttree Landing Park!

South Knoxville – Sevier Ave. (October 29th, 2017)

Although it was cold, we still had tons of fun in South Knoxville.   The Gay St. Bridge and Council Pl.  down Sevier Ave., wrapping around to Suttree Landing Park was closed to car traffic.

East Knoxville – Magnolia Ave. (May 21st, 2017)

Magnolia Ave. from Randolph St. to North Chestnut St. (with a small “L” loop onto East Depot Ave. and back) was filled with people of all ages and abilities.  Participants had the opportunity to walk, ride bikes, dance, and much more in the streets – all in a setting that was fun and safe!

Bearden (October 9th, 2016):

Thousands of people enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon strolling, biking and scooting along Sutherland Ave. and over to the Homberg area of Bearden. There were lots of fun activities for all ages and local businesses to visit.  See some photos on the photos page. Also, check out this video to see a little of what Open Streets is about.
