Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Open Streets Knoxville!    We truly appreciate the help of our volunteers to make this FREE community event successful!  We have filled all of our volunteer positions for our October 29th event.  Please check back in 2018!

Listed below are some of the volunteer positions we have available:

Zone Coordinators (ZCs):   ZCs are people we can trust with more responsibility.  ZCs arrive about 2-2.5 hours before the event.  Responsibilities include instructing set-up volunteers on placement of signs throughout the route, setting up the information booth, and explaining to other volunteers their duties as they arrive.  ZCs will meet with the Volunteer Coordinator (Jon) prior to the event to inform them of their responsibilities and anything else pertinent to the event.

Set-Up Volunteers: Assist with putting up signage throughout the route.  Help set up tents and any other miscellaneous tasks.

Information Booth Volunteers: Responsible for answering any questions attendees may have during the event, distribute maps, check-in and explain duties to mobile volunteers.

Mobile Volunteers: Walk around their respective zone throughout the event wearing a volunteer shirt, answering questions.  Mobile volunteers working the last shift will assist with event break-down (information booths, collecting signs, and any other general clean-up tasks).

If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact Lindsey Kimble, Open Streets Coordinator at openstreetsknoxville@gmail.com.
